The assistant will carry for you from the village an indonesian packet lunch called NASI GORENG ( fried rice with vegetable and egg ) and also variety of indonesian fruit, depending on the season such as : bananas, passion fruit, pineapple, watermelon, rambutan, mango, orange.. You need to bring at least one large bottle of water, mosquito repellent and your camera. The trekking start at 9:00 am. Arrive around 3:00-4:00 pm to Bukit Lawang village by local rafting. Don´t miss your chance observe the rare, critically endangered Sumatran Orangutan in his natural habitat in one of the last places in the world !! The paths can be steep and can be slippery. Our assistants will try to help you if you need a hand, but you are responsible for your own personal safety. We provide assistance for your children as well, but not forget that responsibility for their safety is on parents or guardians. Orangutans and other wildlife are susceptible to human illnesses.
